Hot Milk explores the complex bond between a single mother and her daughter against the sun-drenched backdrop of Almería. Rose (Fiona Shaw) and Sofia (Emma Mackey) travel to the Spanish seaside to seek a cure from Dr. Gómez for Rose's mysterious illness, which has left her in a wheelchair. In this sultry town, Sofia, long trapped by her mother's condition, is drawn to the enigmatic and free-spirited Ingrid (Vicky Krieps), awakening newfound freedom. As Sofia pulls away, Rose's control tightens, and simmering resentments rise.
